Falsies: Volum' express by Maybelline REVIEW

For the past 2-3 months I have seen those Maybelline Falsies commercials for "dramatic, look-at-me lashes" and I thought "why not try it?". I paid around $7 for it at Walgreens and I bought 'very black-dramatic'. They had plain 'very black' but I thought 'dramatic' seemed better. ;) I was excited to try it, expecting long, false looking eyelashes. I really liked it for the first week I used it, it worked well (not as dramatic as I had hoped) but it did the job. After a few days I noticed that my eyes looked tired and it was slowly smearing outside the corners of my eyes and underneath the bottom lashes. I have no idea why, but it seemed to get worse over time. I think this is a great mascara, but I would definately recommend getting waterproof (I didnt) and maybe it will help with the smearing.

My rating: B-

I'm backkk!

Okay, Sooooo........ I've been gone for a couple months because I have been super busy this semester with school. But I am back and I have SO much I want to talk about! I did a major Ulta haul the other day and I need to do mascara reviews! Also, the top summer trend list is coming this week so stay tuned! ;)

Q&A ;)

I apologize for it taking this long, but I am finally ready to answer some of your questions!
Remember to email me at Chaosandcouture@yahoo.com

Q: What are your favorite designer jeans?
A: Definately True Religion joey jeans! I am super tall 5'11" so I need that extra length that TR has. My second favs are Rock and Republic crystal flare. Although they are dry clean only, I love them!

Q: What is your opinion on Forever 21 knocking off designers? do you still shop there?
A: I am a business/fashion major, so I know a lot about the legal issues that F21 is having. I don't think copying designers is a good way to do business but the items are in high demand. It is wayyy to long of an answer to put here, but yes I still shop there. It's fast fashion and you get what you pay for.

Q: Favorite flip flops?
A: I am pretty easy when it comes to flip flops simply because I wear them out and throw them away in like a month. Old Navy flip flops are always on my feet. ;)

Q: What is your dream job in the fashion industry?
A: I reallllly want to go into visual merchandising! I am a master of displays! haha. ultimately I would like to be a business owner - boutique or other retail store.

Q: What do you think the biggest trends of 2011 will be?
A: I don't think jeggings are over yet. I know jegging-style skinny capris will be hot. Also, minimalistic outfits with EXTREME statement jewelry will be big. It's all about being simple with one POP this year!

Thanks guys! keep the questions coming!!!

February Forecast

As winter comes to an end there is one thing on every girl's mind - what to wear for spring! Okay, I know its only February, but I'm ready for warm weather and sandals already!
I have done my research ;) and here are the must haves for spring:

1. If you STILL haven't bought some jeggings then head over to the sale rack because they are great paired with a slouchy tee or a sweater.

My Pick: Hollister Classic Jegging SALE! $25

2. Crazy tanks are the thing i'm looking forward to most! Go with a loose fit with skinny jeans or a more fitted look if you are pairing it with bootcut or flare leg pants

My Pick: Betsey Johnson Kiss Tank $98

fyi: if $98 is out of your price range (for me at least) then head to F21 for a less expensive tank!

3. Flats are always in..so this spring I will definately be headed over to payless for their Lela Rose designer flats. They are super cute and only $24.99

4. Don't forget nailcolor!

My Pick: Sally Hansen Quick Dry Mint Sprint $5 @ walgreen's
